Pretty, Happy, Funny, Real: Catching Up Edition

round button chicken

Here are some PHFR photos I would have submitted in weeks past if I'd had the correct equipment!  Hold on to your teeth...

Pretty (if I say so myself)

Would you believe I MADE THIS? Cause I so totally did! Mom's Class at VBS, Baby! Hurrah!

Happy

I am SO HAPPY that the dryer is working again! It was down for at least a week and I was determined to view it as an opportunity and a challenge and get used to not using it. Millions of women around the world operate serenely without a dryer so why can't I? Well, because I don't want to. There, I said it. Yes, I know it would make more sense to use a clothesline and I do have one but do I have to tell you how humid it's been around here and how long it's been taking clothes to dry out in that soup?  Anyway, I now know that I absolutely could do it if I had to or chose to. I just choose not to. Right now. But we'll see...

Funny

Man-Cub and his BFF (though boys do NOT use this term, remember that)!  They spent the day reeking of havoc at our house and made this car ramp in the living room.  They were very proud (as maybe you can tell) and asked for documentation of it.  Don't ask me to explain it; I don't get it at all.  I just know it involved speed, repeated crashes, the partial deconstruction of my living room and lots and lots of, "DUDE...!!!"  They're good boys.

Real

Ugh, you should be SO GLAD Scientists have yet to unravel the mysteries of Smellogging!  This was Man-Cub's suitcase after Army/Navy week at camp!  The smell was horrifying.  And the ironic (and scalp-crinkling) thing is that I found, buried fathoms deep in that mess, FIVE pairs of CLEAN underwear still neatly folded.  Hang on, I need to take another shower...

Oh, it's nice to be back in PHFR-land!

We live in the desert so our clothes dry VERY quickly this time of year when hung outside. But I snuck in a round of dryer usage this week because I just get all hot and sweaty standing out there hanging it all up! :-) My guilt of using the good old sun usually wins, but not this week!

Having grown up with three younger brothers, I can smell that suitcase through the computer. And yeah for getting your dryer fixed, that is one circle of h-e-double hockey sticks I pray doesn't happen to us in summer. With our humidity they would never dry. ~Kristen @ St Monica's Bridge

Oh, I'm a dryer person, too! I freely admit it!
Lovely wreath.

I just love that wreath. What a gorgeous welcome to your home. Even better that you made it.

I'm catching up on posting myself and reading what I've missed! You are such a hoot, I love when I stop by.
