Dear Anonymous:

If you're going to call my daughter a shameful tart, you could at least have the courage to identify yourself instead of hurling insults from the shadows.

Oh, my! I have only been reading blogs for a little over a month (and yours is still my favorite and my very first) and, yet, in that short time, I have come across blog owners telling of such woes as you have just experienced. One is a writer and wrote that her work is being used under another name! Naturally, none of that compares to someone personally attacking a member of your own family. When we open ourselves to the greater world and share about our family, we are naturally making ourselves vunerable to all of the crazies out there. And, unfortunately, there are a lot of crazies out there! This is surely going to overshadow the joy that you have felt writing your blog, not to mention the tremendous joy that, we, the readers share in reading of your wonderful family and daily antics. Please do not forget that you are sharing your very human experiences with others and this makes them feel less alone and much cheered and uplifted as well. I am one of those people who has been very blessed by your sharings. I have checked your site at least two times per day since your Christmas eve post and was beginning to wonder what was wrong. Well, now I know. I refer you to your earlier post where the people who KNOW your daughter had such lovely things to say about her. The crazies out in cyberland do not know her and will always go about spewing hatred and disharmony. It is just something we open ourselves to when we open ourselves. It is sad, but it is so. I hope that you can move on past it and continue to write your lovely thoughts with your inciteful humor which helps us all to enjoy, laugh, and endure the sometimes bumpy ride called life and motherhood. Bless you as you work through this! Bonnie

Hello Pippajo,
There will always be weirdos in this world who feel justified hurling insults/judgements/advice at others. Don't pay any attention to them. Just follow your own heart and know that they must live with themselves. This life is too wonderful and joyful to let them ruin it.
Hugs, Laura

Who the heck called her a shameful tart?! Where is this mongoloid's comment?! Just remember how many kudos you've gotten as opposed to one smarmy crackpot's delusions.

Thank you for your kind comments. They truly were a soothing balm for my rankled soul. You may have noticed, I did not post the offensive comment. The way I see it, if you're going to be unkind, you need to do it to my face. I don't accept anonymous insults, but I do address them.

I had decided to wait a few days before posting these comments to give Anonymous a chance to respond and possibly explain him/herself, but, obviously, he/she has chosen to remain hidden.

Obviously s/he is too busy cataloging her turd collection to explain.
